Founded in 1992, Linkfield Engineering Consultants has built an enviable reputation and is trusted to deliver technical excellence and exceptional service. Specializing in commercial kitchen design, fire hood suppression systems, plumbing, and H.V.A.C., we have served over 200 clients, including some of the largest coffee and restaurants chains in the Greater Vancouver Regional District. Laurent Shiu

Principal Engineer – BASc, P.Eng, LEEDga

After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a BASC, Laurent began his career working with several companies building his skills as a mechanical, plumbing and fire suppression engineer. In 2017, Laurent decided to embark on a new career, taking over Linkfield Engineering Consultants ltd., as the principal engineer. Since then, Laurent has served over 200 clients, being inspired more each day to serve as a pioneering engineering in the GVRD.

Dennis Shiu

Founder + Senior Engineer – BASc, MASc, P.Eng

After graduating from the Technical University of Nova Scotia at Dalhousie University with a BASc and and MASc in Mechanical Engineering, Dennis decided to move to British Columbia to jump start his career. Before the turn of the millennium (1992), Dennis worked with local businesses – residential homes, commercial renovations, industrial and new construction. Through his breadth of knowledge, technical experience and work ethic his building engineering design network began to reach start-ups, chain restaurants, and corporations.
